Marilyn Monroe's Dress Sells For...

Yes darlings, it is true. Marilyn Monroe's famous white, subway grate dress from the 1955 movie, "The Seven Year Itch", sold at auction over the weekend, for a mere $4.6 million. Actually, it went for a total of $5,520,000 to be exact, after added fees. This was a stunning, record breaking price for an iconic piece of movie memorabilia, that had originally been estimated to fetch only $1 to $2 million. Not too bad, huh?

This fabulous dress, was the highlight of a vast collection of movie props, costumes, and such, that been accumulated over 50 years, by none other than the glorious Debbie Reynolds.
The garment, was ultimately sold to an anonymous phone bidder. A precious piece of material, that once draped, and caressed a treasured, and very troubled actress... -Al
